Thank you for visiting the New Jersey DBE website. I am proud to be a member and President of the DBE in New Jersey. I joined the DBE in 1977 and have made many DBE friends throughout the United States.

The DBE in New Jersey was founded in 1920. We are part of the Eastern District which includes the States of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia. We support charitable endeavors for the elderly following in the footsteps of our founder, Mrs. J. E. Langstaff. In New Jersey, we support Riverwalk Village at The House of the Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ and St. Joseph’s Senior Home, Woodbridge, NJ, as well as Sound Start Babies Foundation and other 501(c)(3) organizations.

Our biggest fundraiser is a Fall Luncheon and Bazaar which is enjoyed by both members and guests. Our chapters meet monthly in members’ homes, libraries, church halls, and also by Zoom. The meetings are usually followed by tea and refreshments or lunch in a restaurant.
